Ayrshire Classics Car Club at Craig Wilson Ltd,

At  Whitefordhill, Ayr KA6 5JW  On Sunday 19 July 2026 – From 10am to 4pm – Free entry –

Join us at the Annual Ayrshire Vintage Tractor & Machinery Club Rally – also known as the Cattle Market Show – where we’ll have a great display of classic cars from Ayrshire Classics Car Club.- This friendly and welcoming event offers something a little different, bringing together an impressive display of classic cars, vintage tractors, agricultural machinery, and working lorries. Whether you’re passionate about motoring heritage or fascinated by farming history, there’s plenty to see and enjoy throughout the day. – With its relaxed atmosphere, diverse displays, and community spirit, this event is a great day out for enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to experience a celebration of classic vehicles and rural heritage

Clipper Round the World Yacht Race – Coming to Oban! On 10th to 19th July, 2026

The Clipper Race is renowned as one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet, welcoming adventurers from all walks of life to take on the exceptional challenge of racing across the world’s oceans on board a 70ft yacht. This unique event sees teams battle extreme conditions on their eleven-month circumnavigation.

The Clipper Race fleet will once again sail into Oban in the summer of 2026. And according to Host Port Partners, Argyll and Bute Council and Bid4Oban, an even bigger festival of culture is planned for the next realm of ocean racers.

Oban will form part of Leg 8: The Atlantic Homecoming, where Race Crew will take on a furious downwind battle from North America towards the Race Finish port of Portsmouth, UK. As one of the last stops on the global route and warm hospitality provided from the town’s locals, – it’s the perfect place for warm up celebrations!

Edinburgh Festival Carnival 2026
The 2026 Edinburgh Festival Carnival will take place in West Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 19 July.

A dazzling explosion of music, dance, and international culture, this free event will feature over 700 performers in energetic parades and on live stages throughout West Princes Street Gardens. Together with our incredible local and international performers, we create a kaleidoscope energetic choreography, synchronised live drumming and spectacular costume designs.- More information coming soon!

European Land Art Festival & Stone Stacking Championships 2026
14-19 July Dunbar, Scotland

The The festival is the Europe’s largest gathering of land artists and stone stackers come together to create art with nature –
Our Dunbar festival has gone through a few transformations over the years since its inception in 2016 under the guise of the John Muir Stone stacking challenge. John Muir, who was originally born and raised in Dunbar was of course a remarkable naturalist, author, environmental philosopher, and early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the USA. Who better to herald the birth of a festival that has the care of the environment at its core – We’ll be back again in 2026 with another activity-packed week of land art workshops and stone stacking championships for everyone to enjoy, with no charge for admission.
